We revisited some of our favorite Kate DiCamillo characters in the Tales from Deckawoo Drive series and problem solved with the Questioneers in Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters. We also finished the Once Upon A Fairy Tale series, the third Fairy Mom book, and 8 more Magic Tree House adventures! I listened to all the adult books as audiobooks, via the @overdrive_libs #Libbyapp and enjoyed them all.

Both Such A Fun Age @kileyreid and A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor by @hankgreen are apropos given the current racial tension in the U.S. and rapid technological progress in the world.

I learned so much about the tremendous impact of Ruth Bader Ginsberg as the world mourns her loss; she is truly a hero.

@BreneBrown is my jam and I will read anything she writes.

The three self-improvement books encouraged some intense self-reflection this month.

I re-read The Face On The Milk Carton to celebrate Banned Books Week and it instantly hooked me in!

.
My favorites this month were Atomic Habits by @jamesclear and A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor by @hankgreen.

.
Atomic Habits was so accessible and full of concrete suggestions for implementation as well as plenty of relatable examples.
.
.
A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor is the follow-up to Hank's debut novel An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. The science fiction novel is fast-paced and grapples with the ethics of and inequity of access to rapidly-evolving technology like AI, VR, and cryptocurrency. I loved the rich audio experience of A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor and enjoyed the bonus audio content: a thoughtful conversation between @hankgreen and digital rights activist Cory Doctorow.

Throughout Banned Books Week, I've been revisiting the Face on the Milk Carton series by one of my favorite YA authors growing up, Caroline B. Cooney. I listened to the first 3 books in the series via the @overdrive_libs #Libbyapp and am in the middle of book #4 now. The author released an exclusive e-book as well as a conclusion to the series (Janie, Face to Face) that I've never read and am excited to devour this week. First published in 1990, The Face on The Milk Carton is among the top 30 most banned and challenged books between 2000-2009, according to the @americanlibraryassociation. @banned_books_week celebrates the Freedom to READ! 👏
