I strongly believe that you do not have to buy books to enjoy them. I ALWAYS recommend using your library card to access books for FREE. However, I recognize that books make great gifts.
When two sisters bring home a real Christmas tree, the eldest quickly discovers she is allergic to the tree. As a result, they have to move the tree outside. Disappointed, the younger sister lashes out with hurtful words. Realizing she hurt her sister’s feelings, she comes up with an idea to make-up and decorate for the holiday in an allergy-friendly way. This is a sweet story that touches on the reality of sibling conflict and the magic of sisterhood.
This delightful holiday edition to the Maple & Willow series about nature-loving sisters is inspired by a tradition in the author’s household. The back flap features a picture of the author with a Christmas ladder. Though this is the fourth book in the series, it will be enjoyed non-sequentially without having read the other three. The other books in the series are Maple, Maple & Willow Together, and Maple & Willow Apart.
Visit the author’s website for an adorable free activity guide including a word search, cookie recipe, and a printable coloring page.
